You can also use these ideas for any other occasion as well. I created a super easy table setting that you can recreate in minutes. Take a look!
Three Steps to the Perfect Table Settings
1
COLOR
The first thing you want to choose is the colors for your table escape.
I normally start with the dishes. Don’t be afraid to use different type of plates for your table setting. Mix and match your favorite colors and make sure you love them! You can find affordable dishes at the Dollar Store or you can always use different ones that you already own. After you choose your color scheme bring other elements to the table that have similar colors.
If you have a hard time deciding how to create the perfect color scheme you want to click HERE and check out how to use the color wheel. This post will change the way you think about color… I promise you!

TEXTURE
Use napkins, plates, cards, flowers, candles, glasses and silverware to create texture. Use different patterns, fabrics, and materials to design a plate setting that has character and dimension. Natural elements such as flowers are the perfect way to bring both color and texture to your table.
You can make individual flower keepsakes in minutes. Tie together small branches and colorful flowers with a piece of twine. I used a dry bay leave and permanent marker to make place cards. Write the name of the person on it and you are ready to go!
3
LAYER
After you have chosen your colors and textures it is time to layer them.
Always start with the largest layer at the bottom and build your way up. An easy way to start is with placemats or large napkins under the main plate. Then add your salad plate or soup bowl and go on!
Trust me, this formula always works!
