Making art is a beautiful way to express our feelings. We can use colors to show the way we see the world around us. I’ve heard people before say that they can’t paint. What? No way! That’s silly!
I always tell my own children that there is no such thing as a bad painting.
No one else can create a duplicate of YOU,
so nothing less than wonderful and unique is born when we inspire children to create art that comes from their hearts.
Let’s make a masterpiece together with this fun Puffy Paint!
MATERIALS
{ Makes 1 Cup of Paint }
1 c white school glue
1 c shaving cream
Food coloring
Disposable foam bowls
Plastic Forks
Plastic Zip Bags
Scissors
White card-stock or construction paper for painting!
TIP: For larger quantities use equal parts of glue and shaving cream.
TUTORIAL
1
In a small foam bowl mix the glue, shaving cream, and a few drops of food coloring and use a fork to mix together.
2
Transfer the mixture to a zip bag and push the air out of it before you close it.
Use a pair of scissors to cut off a small piece of the corner of the bag so the paint can be pushed out.
3
Gently squish the paint through the hole to create an extraordinary work of art.
It is easier for young children if they draw the picture with a pencil first and then trace it with Puffy Paint… So fun!
When your kiddos are done painting put the picture aside until fully dry.
Super cute!
