I am so excited to share with you a new special product from Krylon that I tried for the first time this week. In less than five minutes a little spray paint can have the power to change glass into a mirror-like look. I’ve been having too much fun using this stuff! Let me show you the Vintage Snow Globe that I made for my Mimi’s room… Oh “deer”!
She is loving it!
TUTORIAL
1
I want to show you how easy it is to use this Spray Paint.
The first thing you want to do is to clean whatever glass surface you are going to work with.
Make sure to dry it completely before you move to the next step!
2
To make the display window print here the oval shape, cut it and use it as a template.
I traced the oval shape right on top of a piece of vinyl and stuck it in place.
Then I was ready to use the Krylon Looking Glass Mirror-Like Paint.
{ Follow the directions on the back of the can for this step }
3
After the paint was dry I peeled off the vinyl!
Now that your window is ready all you need to do is add some salt for the snow and decorations inside.
You are done!
I love how the light comes from the back doing a watery effect!
So, what do you think?
I am giving Krylon two thumbs up for this magical spray paint!
Now, start saving all those empty jars and create something amazing with them!

Theae are absolutely adorable!! Where did you find those reindeer!?! So stinkin’ cute!!!!
I found them at Target last year!
I’m so in love with this and it’s vintage appearance! These would make cute gifts too!
I love this. Going to do it for Christmas this year. How does everything stay together?
Our local Home Depot and Lowes have never carried it. Michael’s and JoAnn’s carried it for a while, but no longer do. I got my last can via Amazon (postage was insignificant).
If you have a Sherwin Williams store near you they should have it in stock, and if not, they can order it for you. 🙂
I know that the paint is supposed to be used on the inside of the glass (especially for the mercury effect), but more and more people are using it on the outside as well.
Very cute idea!
I looked everywhere last Christmas (2012) but couldn’t find the Krylon looking glass paint. Hardware and several craft stores looked at me as if I was crazy. Shopping on line would be too expensive (postage). Can you please tell me if any chain stores locally sell it. I’m in south Florida. Thanks.
Your globe is so cute. Makes me want the paint even more.
Have you checked Home Depot or Lowes… They should have it!
I just bought 2 cans of this at my local walmart 🙂 try @Walmart tavette
Okay, but seriously… this is amazing.
Thank you so much Brittany!
The peek-a-boo snow globe is so cute Desiree!
Thank you so much Jessica! I love the little reindeer!
I also am wondering where you purchased the adorable deer. That truly makes the snow globe!
Jeanne, I got the little guy at Target!
