Hi there everyone, I am so happy and honored to be guest posting for Desirée.
She is simply wonderful and I adore this blog…I think you can say that I have blog crush!
My name is Andrea and I blog over at The Cottage Marketwhere I share some fun sweet and vegetarian recipes…free printables…simple craft projects for all ages…vintage finds and I do love to fall down the blogosphere rabbit hole and bring my readers some interesting weeks in review.
Let’s start at the beginning with the supplies you will need…
A flat frame…some of your favorite washi tapes (I went black and white this time) a paint brush and some acrylic paint.
The rest is as simple as
1.
Sand your frame and then paint it in the color of your choice…this way you can use the actual painted frame as one of your stripes…saves on time and supplies!
2.
Now all you have to do is apply washi tape to your frame in the pattern of your choice. You can see here that I used the white background as thin stripes throughout. Make sure that your tape strips on the side are long enough for you to wrap around so your sides are perfectly finished. One tip…please be sure to burnish the tape on well!
3.
Now take an exacto blade and slice in the center of the tapes…fold around the inside for a finished look and then trip your washi tape in the back.
Viola…ready for display…here are a few more…
…
…
You can create a nice array of designs from just a few rolls of washi tape…add even more possibilities with different color painted bases…like the light pink one above. The possibilities are endless.
The results are fun…
This project is so easy and the results are very satisfying…truly within 1/2 an hour your frame is complete from start to finish!
Hope to see you all soon…You are welcome at The Cottage Market any time!
Thank you so much Desiree for this incredible

Andrea has been one of those friends that I have met through blogging.
