Today I am going to share how to turn a placemat into DIY Vases in a couple minutes. You can use these vases to hold utensils and gadgets in your kitchen, pens and scissors in your craft room or office, or make up and brushes in your bathroom. There are many adorable and affordable placemats out there, so the possibilities are endless!
DIY Placemat Vases Tutorial
MATERIALS
Scissors, Placemat, Stapler, Washi or Electrical Tape,
Cup, cans, jars or vases for the inside.
1
First decide how big you want to make your vases. The best way is to use the cup or any other container you are going to place inside to measure the width of your vase.
After you decide how tall and wide you want your vase to be, use scissors to cut the placemat.
2
Create a cylinder with the piece you cut and staple the ends together so they stay put in place.
Then use washi tape or electrical tape to cover the seam where the ends meet.
3
Place a cup, can, jar, or container inside of the cylinder.
You are done!
Super cute and easy!
With the extra pieces I even made Napkin Rings using the same technique!
