Sometimes you just have to think outside of the box.

Since we moved back into our old home we have done a bunch of makeovers.

If you have time you can take a tour of our home here.

What can I say?

As you can see I am a makeover type of girl!

Being so busy with other areas of our home, our Master Bedroom has been neglected.

You are going to get to see how bad it is next week

But for now let me show you the first piece that is part of our Master Room Makeover.

I purchased this dresser a few months ago for $15.

I started painting it white and then I got busy with something else and I never finished it.

You can see the original color on the side.

Well, I decided to stop the white and paint it  black.

Let me give you a little tip for painting the legs of your furniture.

Raise your furniture from the floor using cans under it.

Fancy?

No really… but it works!

OK! Back to painting.

Since we are talking about a Master Bed Room I think it is fair to have some masculine touches

as part of the makeover. The dark furniture will do that for sure.

We didn’t need a dresser in our room.

What we needed was an entertainment center.

As you saw in the picture before I removed the drawer and I added a piece of particle board shelving to cover the empty space.

All I did was measure, cut, paint and put these shelves  in place.

Just like that I had transformed a dresser into our new Entertainment Center.

Pretty cool!

To finish it I gave it a good distress using my sander.

In less than an hour and for about $20  you can do something similar.

How cool is that?

Now if you excuse me I better go to Lowe’s and get some new knobs for our Entertainment Center.

Happy Saturday My Friends!
