Hey Guys!
This is Tausha from Sassy Style and I am so excited to be visiting you again!
Today I am going to share how to make over a sad looking table into a fabulous table!
I love a simple makeover and this table is just that.
I am in furniture makeover mode at my house. We recently sold our house and we are in the process of buying another one.
So, while I really should be packing (lame) I am re-doing furniture that should have been done a long time ago!
I refuse to move anything that needs a makeover and didn’t get one.

I had this super cute table in my garage for way too long!
My teenager wanted it for her room, so I let her paint it pink. She is changing her colors, so I got my darling table back!
The first thing that I did was prime! I chose to paint this table using good old spray paint.
I love all kinds of painting, but when it comes to a quick makeover, spray paint is the way to go.
I love all things Rustoleum, and this includes spray paint. This is the only brand that I use.
So, I primed the table with some white Rustoleum primer and then let it dry.
After the primer, I painted a couple coats of Heirloom White. (one of my personal favorite colors)
Once everything was dry, I was ready to add the map love.
I am loving all things maps and globes right now. I am the proud owner of a collection of 7 globes and I am always looking for me.
I may or may not be on the brink of a globe hoarder…
Supplies needed:
Antique Mod Podge
Old atlas or map
sponge brush
(Peanut M&M’s and Diet Coke are totally optional but strongly suggested)
I laid out my maps first before I added the mod podge.
I didn’t like the white around the edges, so I went ahead and cut those off.
Once I liked what it looked like, I opened the mod podge and went to town.
You will notice that I used antique Mod Podge instead of regular mod podge.
Why? I love that the antique dries cream and not clear. So, when I am doing any kind of vintage feeling project, this is my go to mod podge.
After my maps were dry, I added a little bit of stain to antique the table and show off the details of the table.
I love the look of antiquing a piece, but this step is optional. I think that the table would look awesome either way.
That’s it! Now you have a fabulous map table that didn’t take a lot of time & will be an awesome conversation piece in your home!
I hope that I inspired you to create something new!
