TUTORIAL

1

Spray Paint the Flowers

I found these fabric flowers at my local Dollar Store.

I used flat black spray paint to change the color.

As you can see I didn’t mind seeing some of the original color here and there.

Put on as many coats of paint as you want to achieve the color that you like best.

I also found these ivory flowers and the color was perfect!

I took them apart and I spray painted just the inside of them.

After putting the flowers back together they were exactly what I was looking for!

2

Wrap the Wreath

While your flowers dry use yarn or fabric to wrap the foam wreath.

Use pins to keep the yarn in place. I found this awesome yarn at my local craft store for under $2 on sale and it worked perfectly for the look that I wanted for my Halloween Wreath.

Decorate Your Wreath

This is the part where you get to have real fun.

Cut the stems as short as you want them to be for your wreath.

Layer the flowers and greenery starting with the bigger pieces on the back and building your way forward with the smaller ones. Use pins to hold each piece in place. It is like making a small bouquet!

If you want a very elegant gothic kind of look you don’t even need to add the skull.

I actually love this look!

Halloween Chic… Isn’t it?

If you want to make it a little more spooky and festive give a small Dollar Store Skull a makeover.

You can use things like ribbon, feathers, flowers and buttons to glam it up!

You are done!
