Today I’m going to show you a fabric project without a stitch! This decoupage suitcase is a fun DIY Project that you can do under an hour. Nothing like a quick and affordable makeover! So are you ready to give an old suitcase a new look? Let’s exchange the sewing machine for Mod Podge, the thread for spray paint, the needles for a brush and the patterns for an old suitcase!

MATERIALS
Old Suitcase
Mod Podge – You can find it HERE.
Spray Paint & Primer { Optional } – You can find it HERE
Painters Tape – Find It HERE
Foam Brushes – You can find them HERE

Tape the areas you don’t want to be painted. Make sure every bit of metal is taped.
Is this a pain? Heck yeah! But the final product is worth it!

Time to paint!
You don’t need to spray the entire suitcase since you are going to cover it with fabric.
Just make sure to cover all the areas that will be exposed.
Looks so good already!

Let it dry!
When it is dry it is time to unfold the beauty… Take the tape off.

Place the fabric on top of one side of the suitcase and cut the amount needed to cover the area.
Leave 1 inch of extra fabric around it so it is easy to pull and work with…
Do the same thing for the other side.

Get the brush and decoupage the suitcase.
Mess, here we come!

This step is SO important.
Paint the areas where you are going to put the fabric with Mod-Podge.
BE GENEROUS and pay attention to the corners and edges.

While de Mod-Podge is wet place the fabric on top of it.
Paint the fabric with Mod-Podge just like you did with the suitcase.
With the help of a dull knife or your nails press against the edges so it really sticks to the suitcase.
Use your hand to smooth the fabric. Pull and press YOU DON’T WANT BUBBLES of air between the suitcase and the fabric.

With an exacto knife {I couldn’t find mine so I just had the blade} cut the excess fabric CAREFULLY.
Check my hands OUT… I’m a mess!
Let it dry and repeat these steps on the other side. Don’t worry about The Mod Podge it will dry clear.
