Whip up these Mini Crayon Wreaths for back to school! via createcraftlove.com for The 36th Avenue

Can you believe summer is already drawing to a close? Here in southwest Missouri we start school in 2 weeks! Crazy! My sweet little guy will soon be moving up to the pre-K room at daycare. We made these Mini Crayon Wreaths as thank yous to his old teachers! They are super easy to make and I’m going to show you how!

To make your own Mini Crayon Wreaths, you will need:

(4) 24 count boxes of crayons

2 wooden circles

Chalkboard paint

Paint brush

Hot glue gun

Ribbon

Begin by painting your wooden circles with the chalkboard paint.

Once the paint is dry, begin hot gluing the crayons around the edge. I glued a small area on the back of each crayon from the black markings to the bottom. I wanted a uniform look so I made sure the Crayola symbol was always facing forward.

The wreath looked a little bare with one layer. So I began a second row on top of the original one.

I love how much fuller it looks!

To hang it, I hot glued some ribbon to the back of the wooden circle.

To finish it off, I added their initials to each wreath.
