Hello Lovelies!

I believe you know by now that  for the last few weeks I’ve been working having fun on putting together my little girl’s bedroom.

I introduce to you Miss Mimi…
{ love the shoes…huge but way cute}

Well she is the INSPIRATION behind the journey of transforming this
dark black curio cabinet into the sweetest piece of furniture I have ever worked on…

Here is a picture of the before…
{so NOT Mimi}
{How do you like my leg’s reflection on the glass?}
The truth is that in my opinion this curio had a lot of character
but
my Mimi’s opinion was different… she thought there was just not enough …
PINK on it.
So here is what I did to fix the problem…
1st:
I “unassembled” {is that even a word?} the main parts of the curio:
doors, glass panels and  hardware…all out!
2nd:
I primed the curio and after it dried {I dislike waiting}  I spray painted it in a light  ivory color.
3rd:
You may be wondering why I didn’t paint the entire thing…
and where is the pink?
Well I found this super cute vinyl shelf paper at Michaels…
that I used to cover the unpainted areas.
Don’t you love the colors?
So chic!
4th:
I spray painted in silver the hinges and replaced the knobs with some
fabulous new ones that I found at Home-Goods months ago…
They are delicious!

…And then before I knew it I was done!

This is how you do a makeover Mimi’s style!
I love the pink background!

Pretty amazing what a little of imagination
and a bit of paint can do!
