I feel so fortunate to do what I love and have the chance to share with you my little ideas. In the next few weeks you are going to see a ton of home improvement projects here at The 36th Avenue.
Some of them will be small {like the one today}and some others a bit bigger…
So let’s get started…
A few weeks ago, on our last day in Oregon I received this box of goodies in the mail… thanks to DecoArt.
Because of the long waited move into our home I hadn’t had the chance to create anything with
these wonderful paints but as soon as I moved in I opened the chalkboard paint. The first thing I loved was the fact that it came in a 8oz. bottle… so easy to store!
My project, was my tiny pantry…
I want you to keep in kind that our home has been rented out for almost two years…
and this is how the poor little thing looked just a few days ago…
Sick!
Filthy and unbelievable disgusting!
Filthy and unbelievable disgusting!
The first thing I did was take care of the inside of the door.
Always before you paint make sure you clean thoroughly the surface that you are going to work on… After doing so and taping the area that I wanted to paint I followed the instructions in the DecoArt Chalk Paint Bottle and with a small roller …
…I transformed in minutes the door into a chalkboard.
While drying and between coats I started to paint the inside of the pantry
in a sage green color… and I have to say that the transformation was instant… It looks super clean and fresh… Love it.
The next step was to organize the food items. I purchased all of my containers at my local Wal-Mart. Now, this part can be pricey. I spent close to $50.00 in all of the storage items but think about it as an investment…
…and TRUST me it is worth every penny.
I normally put in my pantry my food cans… but I decided this time to do something different and keep
in there the most used items such as cereal, snacks, and things of that nature…
So here it is… my little new pantry…
I love my little chalkboard!
…The End!
Absolutely Fabulous transformation! Neat, clean and functional. Love the chalkboard! Lori
Love your nice and organised pantry! Great idea to have a chalkboard right there to write on when you run out of stock!!
Thanks for linking to a Round Tuit!

What a great transformation! I love the green & all the coordinating containers make it look so put together. I would find myself going to my pantry often if it looked like that.

Very nice! I like the coordinating containers and the pantry is cute!
You've inspired me! I was just looking at my pantry yesterday thinking I need to do something. Love the colors (my favorites)-black,green and red. I followed you over from Embellishing Life Every Day.
I'm a new blogger. Stop by sometime.

Funny that I have painted canvases with this chalkboard paint and placed them in the kitchen to help organize the family's schedule…. Why didn't I just pain the inside of the cabinet door. So smart and space saving.
Found you through the DIY Showoff.

I love the chalkboard paint! And good idea to bring in the red, I love how it goes with the black. It looks super neat and definitely clean. Great job!
Love this. These small but rewarding projects are my most favourite ones :). You'll enjoy this every day.
This is so weird,my project today was to clean and organize my pantry…but I decided to kill a little time and check out some blogs and I saw yours. So now that I feel really guilty,I guess I'll get to the pantry.Have a great week!
