Christmas Day is almost here and I’m still thinking about Christmas Neighbor Gifts

Let me show you a super cute idea, our Ginger Bread House Kit.

OK, I confess I haven’t given anything to my neighbors yet

and if you are as late as I am you may  like this tutorial that I shared over at Tatertots and Jello last week.

Every year as part of our Christmas tradition we love to make

Homemade Ginger Bread and of course build with it our Ginger Bread Christmas Village.

This year we made an extra house to give to one of our neighbors as a building kit.

It was really simple to put the kit together.

First make your ginger bread, cut and bake the houses.

{ I am sharing the recipe and templates for the small house here}

Making the houses is our favorite part!

After your house has cooled down hold it together using baker’s twine.

Then put a bunch of candy to decorate the house inside of a clear treat bag.

You can find the bags over at Wal-Mart and Craft Stores.

Assemble the kit putting the house and the candy inside of a box and add

a little tag or Christmas Card to it. You can even add the recipe for the Ginger Bread

to the kit so your neighbors, family and friends can have it as well.

{ You can print the recipe here. }

Such a simple and cute way to wish a Merry Christmas to those you love!
