After reading some of your comments I feel the need to take away this post.
I know most of you took it with the same humor that I did when these “rules” were shared with me.
I appreciate one and each of my readers
and I want you to know that it was never my intention to offend anyone.
In all seriousness, for us the most amazing thing about parenthood is to see our boy and girls grow up
knowing who they are, and giving them the confidence to embrace life and everything that comes with it.
I sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding.
Thank You So Much For Visiting!

I must say I am so sad that you removed this post both I and my husband found it very funny as did several of our friends.
Jamie,
I’ll be more than happy to email them to you. Just let me know if you want me to do so.
Thank you love.
I thought this was Wonderful and hilarious! Sounds exactly like what my own Dad’s rules were, lol and any Father that truly love & values his little girl would say the same. 😎 & Obviously it’s meant to ensure the young man taking out any Loving Dad’s daughter, behaves as a gentleman!..lol LOVE this!
Hugs
Shannon
Thank you Shannon.
Thank you for answering to my comment. I understand your point that it’s only humour, but sexist humour is just as wrong as racist humour, if you know what I mean. I know you are from Spain (so am I) and we don’t have that kind of “rules” about the guy coming home to get the girl and talk to her father (we have some others that are even worse in some ways, though – this is not a comparison) so I know I probably don’t find it funny because it’s weird to me. But the thing is that maybe some people may take them a bit seriously (skip the part where the father may kill the boy), and accept that’s the way to raise a girl, as an object of desire that has to be hidden and preserved from men. Sorry if my comments ruin the mood. I love your blog.
OMG lighten up!!!!!
I couldn’t help but to laugh at all of these. I could hear my husband say these things to our daughter’s date. Good thing, we still have a few more years to go before that becomes an issue.
As the fourth girl in a family of 8 kids, I’m surprised my Mom didn’t have these rules stapled to each one of us! Thank you for the wonderful laugh. As the “auntie” to 9+ nieces and nephews, I’m often their source for “keeping it real.”
awesome! can’t wait to share this with my husband. Boy’s back off!
This was great I laughed so hard especially at 5, 8 and 9 because that would so be my husband. Having two daughter I felt I had to share this with him and as soon as I finished reading it posted it to his FB. Thanks for the laugh!
Oh, Oh, I read these out to DH, we both laughed… hahahahaha. They will come in handy for the grandchildren 🙂
Thank you for the laugh. We have just begun our adventures in dating with our two girls, 13 and 15. I read the rules aloud to them and we were all cracking up. Hubby may have to steal one or two of them!
These are great! As the mother of a 13 year old girl and a 10 year old son….these will come in very handy!! 😉
