Let me start by saying that I am not a big fan of store bought broth. I use it on emergency days but nothing compares to the flavor of a homemade broth or stock. There is no science in making broth; actually it is quite simple. Today I am going to show you how to make fat free broth.

My favorite broth is always made from meats that are cooked in my Crock-Pot. Every time I cook a pork roast, beef roast, chicken or even ham I make sure to save every drop of broth that comes from it. I love using slow cooking bags because it is easier to move and store the broth without making a mess.

Ingredients
  • Meat of your choice.
  • 1 cup of water for every 2 pounds of meat.
  • 1 Knorr Chicken Flavor Bouillon for every cup of water.
Instructions
  1. Season your meat as you always do. Place it in your Crock Pot or large pot.
  2. Add the water according to the weight of your meat.
  3. Break up the chicken bouillons by hand and add to the water.
  4. Cover and let it cook slowly until your meat is tender and ready to serve.
  5. Remove your meat and you have a delicious broth.
Notes
The flavor of the broth will depend on the meat you use. You can always add veggies as well to add flavor.
