As I mentioned a few days ago we have a few birthdays coming up this month.
I am especially excited about my Anni’s birthday.
She is having a Pajamas Late Night Owl Party
and of course we have to have milk and donuts as part of it.
For the longest time I have been tempted to purchase those super cute little milk bottles that I see all over the place.
Being Mrs. Thrifty Me I could not make myself to do so.
I wanted to give a try to transform the small Starbucks jugs into mini milk bottles
and I am here to tell you that this took me just a few minutes.
I made 12 bottles for a little over $12… now that I can handle.
I ended up using these Archer Farm bottles because they were on sale.
Let me show you…
1
I peeled off the plastic wrapper.
Time: About 10 seconds.
2
I spray painted the lid.
Time: About 30 seconds.
3
While the lid was drying I poured out the latte, { we don’t drink coffee in our home } washed the small bottle and I poured some milk in.
I put the lid back on, tied some baker’s twine around it, and I placed the straw in place.
Time: About 150 seconds.
As easy as one, two, three!
In about 3 minutes and for about $1… not bad!
These small milk bottles are adorable and perfect for any breakfast.
Give it a try!
Now I better go… I have an Anniversary to celebrate!
I hope to see you all this evening at 6:30pm during the Link Party!
Besos!

I am sharing this projects over at these fantastic parties!
I am doing this for a baby shower thanks to finding your blog via Pinterest. But I will ask did you get the coffee smell out of the lids? I have been scrubbing and they still smell like coffee.
Maybe let them soak in milk for sometime… I love the idea of you using them for a baby shower.
Love It! Super cute idea! so quick and so thrifty…Love your blog!
How big are these bottles? I need something about 5.5 inches tall and no more than 2.5 inches wide. Would these fit the bill for me?
They are perfect!
I LOVED coming across your post here. I recently found the Starbucks bottles and what to do with them on Pinterest, and seeing that Target also has the Archer Farms in a small bottle too, is perfect. I want to reuse them for Milk Bottles. Screw paying $1.50 plus $8 for a 1/2 gallon of milk, when I can buy my own milk for cheaper and reuse the glass for a cute bottle. So thanks for the post of ideas!
I’ve been trying to think of what to use for my daughter’s birthday party in August for pink lemonade. Now I know! Those bottles or mason jars are cute, but too expensive for me. Now I just need to find affordable straws. 🙂
Mason jars at walmart 12 @ $5!
These are too cute! You are so creative! We would love for you to come share this at our weekly link party and enter to win a $50 gift card to Mikarose Clothing!
