Banana Bread Recipe with Almond Glaze

Author:
Ingredients
  • 4 large ripe bananas { mashed }
  • 1 Cup Butter { room temperature }
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Cups of Sugar
  • 4 Cups of Flour
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ½ Cup Warm Water
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • GLAZE
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Orange Juice
  • ½ tsp. of almond extract
Instructions
  1. Peel and mash the bananas.
  2. Cream the butter, sugar and eggs. Make sure the butter is room temperature. You want it soft. If you just took it out of the fridge put it in the microwave for about 10 seconds or until soft. Don’t let it melt; you just want it soft.
  3. Add flour and salt to the creamed mixture. Mix well. After you add these two ingredients the mix will turn into soft crumbs.
  4. Dissolve baking soda in warm water and add to mixture.
  5. Blend in the mashed bananas.
  6. Bake in a well greased pan at 325º for 1 hour.
  7. GLAZE :
  8. About five minutes before the bread is done, mix in a sauce pan the glaze ingredients.
  9. On low heat melt these three ingredients together and stir for a few minutes. You want the mix to thicken just a little bit.
  10. After your bread is baked and out of the pan add the mix on top of them.
  11. When the glaze cools down it will become harder and almost crystalize.
  12. Enjoy!
Notes
This recipe will make two loaves of bread or 1 regular loaf and four small ones.

You are going to love the taste that the glaze gives!

So yummy!
