There is something sweet about sweets.
Desserts, cakes, cookies, pies and cupcakes make life simply better.
Take a minute and think about it…
What is Thanksgiving without a pie, a Holiday without a good dessert,
or grandma’s house without her perfect cookies or bread?
There is an invisible bond between all of us when we share the sweetness of a homemade dessert.
Today I am featuring the Best 23 Homemade Desserts and Baked Goods that were linked up to the party during the last three weeks.
Let’s put our aprons on… It is time to be inspired by sweetness!

When I was young we used to go every Summer to our beach house.
In our way there we frequently stopped in Yaiza, a small town in the South of my island.
Yaiza, Lanzarote. Canary Islands
There was the house of a sweet old lady that everyone called Tía María.
She didn’t have a phone, therefore she never knew when we were going to stop by
but every time we visited her she would make the best Homemade “Torrijas” for us.
Her kitchen was as simple as her cooking but I don’t remember ever eating something better
that this typical Canary Islands’ dessert of hers.
What made her dessert so special?
Perhaps the fact that no one was a stranger around her table.
I believe the secret ingredient of her “torrijas” was her sweet love for everyone.
As I said in the beginning of this post, I believe that there is an invisible bond between
all of us when we share the sweetness of a homemade dessert.
I hope this post will inspire you and me to fill our homes with sweet memories as we bake, cook, and eat together.
Thank you to all of you that have shared your delicious recipes with us.
Have a Sweet Friday My Friends!
Besos!
