A little thank you note…
I had some pretty amazing teachers growing up.
Among them I especially remember one of them that inspired my love for reading and writing.
I remember looking forward every day to go to his class.
He was more than a teacher, he was an inspiration and it was impossible to not feel his love for books and his students.
Until this day when I am reading I think about the many lessons that this man taught me.
It was deeper than a love for literature that he gave me.
I believe he taught me to dream, to write from the heart, to express myself freely.
He inspired me one book at a time, one poem at a time, one paragraph at a time.
He inspired me one advice at a time.
He had the gift of giving and I believe that his dedication to make a difference in his students touched many hearts,
touched mine, and his words gave me the courage to change my life for a better one.
If you are reading this post and you are a dedicated teacher from the bottom of our hearts we thank you for all you do.
We thank you for the hours you spend with our children everyday.
We thank you for the many hours you spend after school preparing classes, cutting, printing, and correcting papers.
We thank you for taking the time to teach our children, we thank you for making them feel safe,
for making them believe that they can reach goals, for making them believe that they should strive to do their best.
For making them reach their own amazing potential.
Thank you!
And to you my friends that are visiting with us today thank you so much for being here.
We wish you all a wonderful day!

Thank you for sharing all these wonderful links! 😀 Great ideas for Teacher’s Day!
Thank you for your kind words about teachers. You have no idea how much it means to teachers to hear things like this at a time when our profession is being un-appreciated (and vilified) by many. I hope your special teacher has seen your words- and I hope everyone has at least one teacher to love and remember.
