One of my favorite Holidays of the Year is The 4th of July.

During the weekend I started decorating my kitchen.

This is just the beginning of the Red, White and Blue decor so more will come as the week goes by.

The first thing I decorated was the little accent cabinet on top of the fridge.

I love this small space that I get to change during the season and Holidays…

So much fun!

I got the little polka-dot plates at Tai Pan for $1.50 each.

The small polka dot bowl came from the dollar section at Target.

The rest of the items I had already.

My little basket and kitchen corner also got some patriotic love…

I am a Diet Coke girl but this Pepsi bottle is in honor of my girl Wanda Ann!

Oh the things you do for your best friends!

I added some red mugs to the ones hanging under my cabinets.

So a little blue here… a little red there and our white kitchen is getting festive.

Now… have you put your decorations up yet?

DecoArt is having a great contest and guess what… I am one of the judges for it!

So exciting!

THE RULES

All you need to do is to submit your projects to

 DecoArt.com/diy

OR you may add your Americana project to an Americana board and email your board to

 bloggeroutreach@decoart.com

All entries must contain at least one Americana paint, specialty paint or medium.
They can be older projects, but you can only enter their project once.
If they have multiple projects, they may enter them, as long as the project hasn’t been entered previously.

The judges will pick a winner each week, from a Pinterest board that DecoArt will create out of the submitted projects.

A winner is selected over the next three weeks and the winner wins a $25 gift card to their choice of craft store.
Those three winners are then loaded into a special, NEW craft voting site dedicated to Americana projects.
Voters are driven there to cast their pick of a favorite of the 3 weekly winners.

PRIZE
Overall winner wins $100 worth of DecoArt crafting products, as well as a $150 gift card to their choice of craft store!
That’s a $250 prize pack for one of the three finalists!
Contest begins today the Week of June 4, 2012
Voting begins Week of June 25, 2012, with winner being announced, and crowned “Best of America(na)” July 2nd, 2012

So, paint, have fun and show us your Red, White and Blue creations…
I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
