Oh my friends… this is it!
We have a little more than a week before the BIG day!
Christmas Day is almost HERE!

This week I have been busy finishing up some last minute gifts for neighbors and teachers.
This is what we did!

COOKIES?
 Excuse me… What is wrong with cookies?

 Besides don’t judge me YET!

…Check this OUT!

Better?

You are going to love these cookies they are SUPER EASY to make

and SUPER DELICIOUS!

1
 To a Devil food cake MIX { YES!  You got to love Cake Mixes! } add…
2 Eggs.
1 tsp { or 1 Tb. } Vanilla.
and
1/2 Cup Soft Butter.

2

Peel the Candy canes…
{ My sweet Mimi was my little helper }

Crush 6 to 8 Candy Canes.

Add it to the mix with some chocolate chips.
{ at least 1 Cup of Chocolate Love }

Looking GOOD!

3

Bake them at 350º for 8 to 10 minutes…
{ DO NOT OVERCOOK THEM }
…and let it snow …let it snow …let it snow!

NOTE: They need to be small enough to enter inside of the jar.

While warm you can gently flatten them with the bottom of a cup.

4

Enjoy the sweet smell and the leftover batter…

{ …imagine a moment …create a memory }

Now all you have left is to put them inside of the jar…

Well and a few more things…  Make the Jar look festive.

OK… I am going to be absolutly honest with you.

I made the first batch of cookies and they were so good that Mimi and I ate half of them.

So we ended up having only one jar done. :(

{ The one went to school with my son for his AMAZING teacher. }

Then I realized that Christmas is almost HERE and that I had many more teachers and many neighbors left.

So I thought “girl no more baking. Time for Plan B”

The Cookie Mix in a Jar…

The first thing you want to do is empty a full box of Devil Food Cake inside of a jar.

I freaked out when I first did this because it filled up the entire jar.
Just squish the cake mix down as much as you can, you’ll be amazed how much space you’ll have left.

After add one cup of Chocolate Chips { I like milk chocolate } of your choice on top of it and
6 crushed candy canes on top of the chocolate.
So pretty!

Now it is time to dress the jar up.
I used this next steps for both version of our Cookies in a Jar.
You’ll need craft paper, ribbon, punch holders and the help of scissors and a glue gun.

Trace the inside of the lid on craft paper.
Cut it and hot glue it on the lid.

Then decorate the outside of the lid with some ribbon…
5/8″ ribbon works PERFECTLY!

Use your glue gun to… glue it.
WOW!

At this point it will look like this!
Even prettier!

Now let’s add the details!

All I did was to type this directions on my computer { copy and paste as many as you can on one page } and print it:

Just add…
2 Eggs, 1 tsp Vainilla and 1/2 Cup Butter…
{ Bake at 350º for 8 to 10 minutes }

L♥ve … The Campbells

I cut the tag and I used my Craft File to antique it.
{ You can do this with a regular CLEAN nail file }

I made this free printable for the Holidays…
I just punched a little hole on it.

I punched some snow flakes and I hanged it all from the jar with some baker twine…

So here you have them!

From the front…

…and from the back!

or with the cookies baked inside…
